Everything is a test, decreed by God

As believers, we know that God is running everything and thus everything happens for a reason.

So every time certain people lie to us, steal from us, cheat on us, treat us with injustice and show misbehavior towards us, oppresses us, persecute us and even fight or kill us, we should remind ourselves that God has chosen to expose those people’s true convictions through us. Because God knows we carry strong faith in our hearts, minds, and souls to deal with them and the given situations.

[9:51] Say, “Nothing happens to us, except what God has decreed for us. He is our Lord and Master. In God the believers shall trust.”
[23:62] We never burden any soul beyond its means, and we keep a record that utters the truth. No one will suffer injustice.

[29:3] We have tested those before them, for God must distinguish those who are truthful, and He must expose the liars.
[29:11] God will most certainly distinguish those who believe, and He will most certainly expose the hypocrites.

We can only be certain to be counted among the true believers as long as we believe, remain righteous, uphold God’s commands and be steadfast in any given situation and repent and reform when we fall into sin unknowingly. Only then we are promised God’s Forgiveness, Mercy and Guidance.

[103:2] The human being is utterly lost.

[103:3] Except those who believe and lead a righteous life, and exhort one another to uphold the truth, and exhort one another to be steadfast.

[20:82I am surely Forgiving for those who repent, believe, lead a righteous life, and steadfastly remain guided.

[4:146] Only those who repent, reform, hold fast to God, and devote their religion absolutely to God alone, will be counted with the believers. God will bless the believers with a great recompense.

In times of these hardships, when people treat us with injustice, we are commanded to stand for our right, as long as we remain righteous.

[42:39] When gross injustice befalls them, they stand up for their rights.

[42:40] Although the just requital for an injustice is an equivalent retribution, those who pardon and maintain righteousness are rewarded by God. He does not love the unjust.

[42:41] Certainly, those who stand up for their rights, when injustice befalls them, are not committing any error.

And no matter how extreme the hardships can get, we should never lose hope nor faith, but seek healing and salvation through God’s words. Most certainly, it is God’s message that keeps the soul alive in a continuous state of submission.

[7:52] We have given them a scripture that is fully detailed, with knowledge, guidance, and mercy for the people who believe.

[8:24] O you who believe, you shall respond to God and to the messenger when he invites you to what gives you life. You should know that God is closer to you than your heart, and that before Him you will be summoned.

We should protect ourselves from becoming victims of the ungodly, and strive hard to become victorious servants of God.

[25:29] “He has led me away from the message after it came to me. Indeed, the devil lets down his human victims.”

[6:43] If only they implored when our test afflicted them! Instead, their hearts were hardened, and the devil adorned their works in their eyes.

We need to put our trust in God alone and rely on Him as well in fortunate times as in times of hardship. The tests will never run out, neither does God’s guidance and promised rewards to attain high and even higher ranks.

[18:7] We have adorned everything on earth, in order to test them, and thus distinguish those among them who work righteousness.

[2:155] We will surely test you through some fear, hunger, and loss of money, lives, and crops. Give good news to the steadfast.

[8:28] You should know that your money and your children are a test, and that God possesses a great recompense.

[6:42] We have sent (messengers) to communities before you, and we put them to the test through adversity and hardship, that they may implore.

[2:214] Do you expect to enter Paradise without being tested like those before you? They were tested with hardship and adversity, and were shaken up, until the messenger and those who believed with him said, “Where

is God’s victory?” God’s victory is near.

[3:186] You will certainly be tested, through your money and your lives, and you will hear from those who received the scripture, and from the idol worshipers, a lot of insult. If you steadfastly persevere and lead a righteous life, this will prove the strength of your faith.

[6:165] He is the One who made you inheritors of the earth, and He raised some of you above others in rank, in order to test you in accordance with what He has given you. Surely, your Lord is efficient in enforcing retribution, and He is Forgiver, Most Merciful.

God is with the true believers!

[29:69] As for those who strive in our cause, we will surely guide them in our paths. Most assuredly, God is with the pious.

[3:160] If God supports you, none can defeat you. And if He abandons you, who else can support you? In God the believers shall trust.

We must seek God’s help through prayer and steadfastness. Strive with our money and lives at all times to seek God’s pleasure and approval of the redemption of our souls.

[2:45] You shall seek help through steadfastness and the Contact Prayers (Salat). This is difficult indeed, but not so for the reverent,

[110:3] You shall glorify and praise your Lord, and implore Him for forgiveness. He is the Redeemer.

[2:128] “Our Lord, make us submitters to You, and from our descendants let there be a community of submitters to You. Teach us the rites of our religion, and redeem us. You are the Redeemer, Most Merciful.

[17:80] And say, “My Lord, admit me an honorable admittance, and let me depart an honorable departure, and grant me from You a powerful support.”

May God admit us an honorable admittance, let us depart an honorable departure and grant us from Him a powerful support in all that we do. God is the Greatest and all praise belongs to God!
