In the name of God, Most Gracious, Most Merciful.

God sends prophets and messenger inviting and reminding the people to devote their lives completely to God alone. They bring the people messages of Our Lord to lead them out of darkness into light. They warn the people of the retributions that will happen, as a consequence of their disbelief.

These are the sayings and arguments of those who don’t believe and don’t follow the messengers with the enlighting messages and profound signs and miracles.
2:11 … “But we are righteous!”

2:13 … “Shall we believe like the fools who believed?” …

2:55 …”O Moses, we will not believe unless we see God, physically.” ..

2:88 … “Our minds are made up!”..

2:93 … “We hear, but we disobey.”..
2:118 … “If only God could speak to us, or some miracle could come to us!”…
2:135 … “You have to be Jewish or Christian, to be guided.” …

2:170 … “We follow only what we found our parents doing.” …

3:183 … “God has made a covenant with us that we shall not believe in any messenger, unless he produces an offering that gets consumed by fire.” …
4:51 … “The disbelievers are better guided than the believers!”

4:153 …”Show us God, physically.”…
4:171 … “Trinity…
5:104 … “What we found our parents doing is sufficient for us.” ….
5:110 …`This is obviously magic.’
6:7 …”This is no more than clever magic.”
6:8 … “If only an angel could come down with him!” …
6:25 … “These are tales from the past.”
6:29 … “We live only this life; we will not be resurrected.”
6:37 …”If only a certain sign could come down to him from his Lord!” ..
6:53 …. (mockingly), “Are these the people among us who are blessed by God?”…

6:91 … “God does not reveal anything to any human being.”
6:124 … “We will not believe, unless we are given what is given to God’s messengers!” …
6:148 … “Had God willed, we would not practice idolatry, nor would our parents, nor would we prohibit anything.”…
7:28 …”We found our parents doing this, and God has commanded us to do it.”…
7:60 …”We see that you are far astray.”
7:66 … “We see that you are behaving foolishly, and we think that you are a liar.”
7:70 …”Did you come to make us worship God alone, and abandon what our parents used to worship? We challenge you to bring the doom you threaten us with, if you are truthful.”
7:76 … “We disbelieve in what you believe in.”
7:77 … “O Sãleh, bring the doom you threaten us with, if you are really a messenger.”
7:82 … “Evict them from your town. They are people who wish to be pure.”7:88 … “We will evict you, O Shu`aib, together with those who believed with you, from our town, unless you revert to our religion.” …
7:90 … “If you follow Shu`aib, you will be losers.”
7:95 …”It was our parents who experienced that hardship before prosperity.” …
7:106 … “If you have a sign, then produce it, if you are truthful.”
7:109 … “This is no more than a clever magician.
7:110 “He wants to take you out of your land; what do you recommend?”
7:132 … “No matter what kind of sign you show us, to dupe us with your magic, we will not believe.”
7:203 … “Why not ask for it?” …
8:31 …”We have heard. If we wanted to, we could have said the same things. These are no more than tales from the past!”
8:32 … “Our god, if this is really the truth from You, then shower us with rocks from the sky, or pour upon us a painful punishment.”

10:18 … “These are our intercessors at God!”..
10:20 … “How come no miracle came down to him from his Lord?”…
10:48 …”When will this prophecy come to pass, if you are telling the truth?”
10:53 … “Is this really what will happen?…
10:76 … “This is obviously magic!”
10:78 … “Did you come to divert us from what we found our parents doing, and to attain positions of prominence for yourselves? We will never join you as believers.”
11:7 …”This is clearly witchcraft.”
11:8 … “What is keeping Him?”…
11:12 …”How come no treasure comes down to him, or an angel?” …
11:27 … “We see that you are no more than a human being like us, and we see that the first people to follow you are the worst among us. We see that you do not possess any advantage over us. Indeed, we think you are liars.”

11:32 … “O Noah, you have argued with us, and kept on arguing. We challenge you to bring the doom you threaten us with, if you are truthful.”
11:53 … “O Hûd, you did not show us any proof, and we are not abandoning our gods on account of what you say. We will never be believers with you.
11:54 “We believe that some of our gods have afflicted you with a curse.” ..
11:62 …”O Sãleh, you used to be popular among us before this. Are you enjoining us from worshiping what our parents are worshiping? We are full of doubt concerning everything you have told us.”
11:87 …”O Shu`aib, does your religion dictate upon you that we must abandon our parents’ religion, or running our businesses in any manner we choose? Surely, you are known for being clement, wise.”
11:91 … “O Shu`aib, we do not comprehend many of the things you are telling us, and we see that you are powerless among us. If it were not for your tribe, we would have stoned you. You have no value for us.”
13:5 … “After we turn into dust, do we get recreated anew?” …
13:7 …”If only a miracle could come down to him from his Lord (we will then believe).”
13:27 …”If only a miracle could come down to him from his Lord (we would believe).”
13:43 …”You are not a messenger!”

14:9 … “We disbelieve in what you are sent with. We are skeptical about your message; full of doubt.”
14:13 … “We will banish you from our land, unless you revert to our religion.”
15:6 … “O you who received this reminder, you are crazy.
16:24 …”Tales from the past.”
16:101 …”You made this up!” …
16:103 …”A human being is teaching him!”
17:47 …”You are following a crazy man.”
17:90 … “We will not believe you unless you cause a spring to gush out of the ground.
17:94 … “Did God send a human being as a messenger?”
17:98 …”After we turn into bones and fragments, do we get resurrected into a new creation?”

17:101 …”I think that you, Moses, are bewitched.”
19:73 … “Which of us is more prosperous? Which of us is in the majority?”
20:57…”Did you come here to take us out of our land with your magic, O Moses?
20:63 …”These two are no more than magicians who wish to take you out of your land with their magic, and to destroy your ideal way of life.
21:36 …”Is this the one who challenges your gods?” …
21:38 …”Where is that (retribution), if you are truthful?”…
20:133 … “If he could only show us a miracle from his Lord!”
21:5 …”Hallucinations,” “He made it up,” and, “He is a poet. Let him show us a miracle like those of the previous messengers.”
23:24 … “This is no more than a human like you, who wants to gain prominence among you. Had God willed, He could have sent down angels. We never heard of anything like this from our ancestors.
23:25 “He is simply a man gone crazy. Just ignore him for awhile.”

23:33 … “This is no more than a human being like you. He eats from what you eat, and drinks as you drink.
23:47 …”Shall we believe for two men whose people are our slaves?”
23:82 … “After we die and become dust and bones, we get resurrected?
25:4 … “This is a fabrication that he produced, with the help of some other people.” …
25:5 …”Tales from the past that he wrote down; they were dictated to him day and night.”
25:7 … “How come this messenger eats the food and walks in the markets? If only an angel could come down with him, to serve with him as a preacher!”
25:8 … “If only a treasure could be given to him!” …”If only he could possess an orchard from which he eats!” …, “You are following a bewitched man.”
25:21 … “If only the angels could come down to us, or we could see our Lord (we would then believe)!”
25:32 … “Why did not the Quran come through him all at once?”
25:41 …”Is this the one chosen by God to be a messenger?

25:60 … “What is the Most Gracious? Shall we prostrate before what you advocate?” …
26:27 … “Your messenger who is sent to you is crazy.”
26:29 … “If you accept any god, other than me, I will throw you in the prison.”
26:34 … “This is an experienced magician.
26:71 … “We worship statues; we are totally devoted to them.”
26:74 …”No; but we found our parents doing this.”
26:111 … “How can we believe with you, when the worst among us have followed you?”
26:153 … “You are bewitched.
26:167 … “Unless you refrain, O Lot, you will be banished.”
26:185 … “You are bewitched.

27:13 …”This is obviously magic.”
27:47 … “We consider you a bad omen for us, you and those who joined you.”
27:49 …”Let us swear by God that we kill him and his people, then tell his tribe, `We know nothing about their death. We are truthful.’ ”
27:56 …”Banish Lot’s family from your town; they are people who wish to be pure.”
27:71 … “When will that promise come to pass, if you are truthful?”
28:36 … “This is fabricated magic. We have never heard of this from our ancient ancestors.”
28:38 …”O you elders, I have not known of any god for you other than me. Therefore, fire the adobe, O Hãmãn, in order to build a tower, that I may take a look at the god of Moses. I am sure that he is a liar.”
29:24 …”Kill him, or burn him.”…
29:50 …”If only miracles could come down to him from his Lord!”
30:58 … “You are falsifiers.”

31:21 …”No, we follow only what we found our parents doing.”
32:3 … “He fabricated it.”
32:28 …”Where is that victory, if you are truthful?”
33:12 … “What God and His messenger promised us was no more than an illusion!”
34:3 … “The Hour will never come to pass!” …
34:29 …”When will this promise come to pass, if you are truthful?”
34:34 … “We reject the message you are sent with.”
34:35 … “We are more powerful, with more money and children, and we will not be punished.”
34:43 …”This is simply a man who wants to divert you from the way your parents are worshiping.” … “These are fabricated lies.” … “This is obviously magic.”
36:15 …”You are no more than human beings like us. The Most Gracious did not send down anything. You are liars.”

36:18 … “We consider you bad omens. Unless you refrain, we will surely stone you, or afflict you with painful retribution.”
36:47 …  “Why should we give to those whom God could feed, if He so willed? You are really far astray.”
36:48 …”When will that promise come to pass, if you are truthful?”
37:15 … “This is obviously magic!
37:97 … “Let us build a great fire, and throw him into it.”
37:168 “Had we received the correct instructions from our parents,
37:169 “we would have been worshipers; devoted to God alone.”
38:4 … “A magician, a liar.
38:16 …”Our Lord, why do you not rush the retribution for us, before the Day of Reckoning.”
39:3 … “We idolize them only to bring us closer to God; for they are in a better position!”

40:24 …”A magician; a liar.”

40:25 … “Kill the sons of those who believed with him, and spare their daughters.”

40:26 … “Let me kill Moses, and let him implore his Lord. I worry lest he corrupts your religion, or spreads evil throughout the land.”
40:29 … Pharaoh said: “You are to follow only what I see fit; I will guide you only in the right path.”

40:34 … “God will not send any other messenger after him.”…

40:36 … “O Hãmãn, build for me a high tower, that I may reach out and discover.
41:5 …”Our minds are made up, our ears are deaf to your message, and a barrier separates us from you. Do what you want, and so will we.”
41:14 … “Had our Lord willed, He could have sent angels. We are disbelievers in what you say.”

41:15 … “Who is more powerful than we?”

41:26 …”Do not listen to this Quran and distort it, that you may win.

41:44 …”Why did it come down in that language?”

42:24 … “He has fabricated lies about God!”..
43:20 … “If the Most Gracious willed, we would not have worshiped them.”…

43:22 …”We found our parents carrying on certain practices, and we are following in their footsteps.”
43:23 … “We found our parents following certain practices, and we will continue in their footsteps.”

43:24 …”We are disbelievers in the message you brought.”

43:30 … “This is magic, and we are disbelievers therein.”

43:31 … “If only this Quran was sent down through another man from the two communities who is prominent!”

43:49 … “O you magician, implore your Lord on our behalf, since you have an agreement with Him (to relieve this plague); we will then be guided.”

43:58 … “Is it better to worship our gods, or to worship him?” …

44:14 … “Well educated, but crazy!”

44:35  “We only die the first death; we will never be resurrected!

44:36 “Bring back our forefathers, if you are truthful.”

45:24 … “We only live this life; we live and die and only time causes our death!”

45:25 …”Bring back our forefathers, if you are truthful.”
45:32 … “We do not know what the Hour is! We are full of conjecture about it; we are not certain.”

46:7 … “This is obviously magic!”

46:8 … “He fabricated this,”
46:11 … “If it were anything good, they would not have accepted it before us.” … “This is an old fabrication!”

46:17 …”Woe to you; are you telling me that (after death) I will come back to life? How come those who died before us never come back?” … “Tales from the past!”

46:22 … “Did you come to divert us from our gods? We challenge you to bring (the retribution) you threaten, if you are truthful.”
46:24 …”This storm will bring to us much needed rain.” …

47:26 …”We will obey you in certain matters.” …

50:2 … “This is really strange.
51:39 … “Magician, or crazy.”

51:52 … “Magician,” … “Crazy.”

52:30 … “He is a poet; let us just wait until he is dead.”

52:33 … “He made it all up” …

54:2 … “Old magic.”

54:9 … “Crazy!” …

54:24 …”Shall we follow one of us; a human being? We will then go astray, then end up in Hell.

56:47 … “After we die and turn to dust and bones, we get resurrected?
63:1 … “We bear witness that you are the messenger of God.” God knows that you are His messenger, and God bears witness that the hypocrites are liars.

63:7 … “Do not give any money to those who followed the messenger of God, perhaps they abandon him!”

64:6 … “Shall we follow humans like us?” …
67:9 … `God did not reveal anything. You are totally astray.’ ”
67:25 …”When will that prophecy come to pass, if you are truthful?”
68:15 …”Tales from the past!”

68:51 … “He is crazy!”

71:23 “… `Do not abandon your gods. Do not abandon Wadd, Suwaa`, Yaghouth, Ya`ooq, and Nasr.’

74:24 … “This is but clever magic!
83:13 … “Tales from the past!”
83:32 … “These people are far astray!

83:33 “They have no such thing as (invisible) guards.”

18:54 We have cited in this Quran every kind of example, but the human being is the most argumentative creature.

25:33 Whatever argument they come up with, we provide you with the truth, and a better understanding.

6:149 Say, “God possesses the most powerful argument; if He wills He can guide all of you.”
